As the first round of the NHL playoffs starts tonight, the Ottawa Senators will try to put the past behind them. They have become known as a very good team that just cannot take it to another level in the playoffs. The other term is chokers. This reminds me of the Capitals from the late 80s and early 90's. This year, I believe they have the grinders to muck it out and to bring the Penguins to their knees (do penguins have knees?). Players like Mike Fisher, Daniel Alfredsson, Christopher Schubert, Peter Schaefer, Chris Phillips, Chris Neil and Anton Volchenkov will play a much more physical role than in previous playoffs. My prediction: Senators in six.

Ils sont connus comme étant une bonne équipe qui n'arrive pas à passer au prochain niveau. Ceci me rappelle les Capitals de Washington des années 80 et 90. La différence cette année est que les Sénateurs ont plus de joueurs robustes qui pourront rendre la vie difficile aux pingouins (et Dieu sait qu'un pingouin a la vie difficile, à 70 degrée sous zéro en Antarctique). Ma prédiction : les Sénateurs en six matchs.
