My three closest street hockey partners were Gaga Lafortune, Lorraine Therrien, and my childhood best friend Don Truchon. Gaga was a few years younger, but he was full of piss and vinegar. He was a class clown, and very athletic. His many antics would fill a humour book. He was a good stickhandler, yet his shot was not very strong. He would rely on his wits to gain an advantage when playing two-on-two with Lorraine, Don and me.

Gaga était plus jeune que nous, mais plein d’énergie vitale. Il était le clown du village, et très athlétique. Ses multiples coups plates et niaiseries rempliraient un livre d’humour. Il était un bon manieur de bâton, mais son lancer n’était pas très fort. Il se fiait à son instinct pour bien se débrouiller lorsqu’il jouait deux-contre-deux avec Lorraine, Don et moi.
