Saturday's games were snoozers. Even the Edmonton-Calgary game. I'm sure the CBC ratings will be down from last year.

Hockey Day in Canada - Saturday's Our National Holiday!

This Saturday is our annual hockey marathon/smorgasborg/excessive intake moment in the hockey year. CBC's Hockey Day in Canada is a brilliant concept which highlights Canada's teams and communities in a one-day lovefest. I'll be at the Sens game then it's back to my couch to partake in the love of hockey ceremony 'til the wee hours. Watch it!

Ce samedi est un moment fort de l'année hockey sur la chaîne anglaise de Radio-Canada (CBC). C'est le jour dédié au merveilleux sentiment d'excès que l'on ressent lorsqu'on exagère en regardant trois matchs ainsi que tous les reportages entre les périodes et entre les matchs. Je serai au match des Canadiens-Sénateurs ensuite je m'installerai sur mon divan pour assister à cette cérémonie d'amour du hockey jusqu'au petites heures du matin. Synthonisez CBC à la télé et faites de même!

There's still nothing quite like the old standby on a Saturday night, being able to watch two games in a row and two national anthems in a row : the HNIC theme song and O Canada, both of which have equal value to me.
