The game started out with a faulty helmet strap that kept me from seeing well on the ice. Once I tightened the other straps, I got on a roll and I was flying.

I scored two nearly identical goals by deking and putting a backhand over André. For my hat trick, I out-strategized him as he left the net to clear a loose puck. I sped towards him and faked going away from his open defenseman, and as he passed it over I cut to that area and intercepted the puck, which left me all alone for a shot into the wide-open goal. Some will say I got lucky. I say I made it happen.

///Le match a débuté avec un bris d'équipement qui m'empêchait de bien voir en jouant : une des sangles de mon casque protecteur s'était détachée. Une fois que les autres sangles furent ajustées pour compenser, j'ai pris mon air d'aller et je patinais très bien.

J'ai marqué deux buts presqu'identiques en déjouant André pour marquer du revers. Pour compléter mon tour du chapeau, je l'ai déjoué autrement. Il est sorti du filet pour récupérer une rondelle. J'ai foncé vers lui et feinté de méloigner de son seul défenseur qui était découvert. Il a mordu à l'appât et l'a envoyé vers son défenseur, me permettant ainsi de facilement intercepter la rondelle et de marquer dans un filet ouvert. Certains diront que j'ai été chanceux. Moi je répondrais que j'ai fait provoqué le jeu.
