George The Roofer ///Est-ce que George plafonne?

George scored what was to me an amazing goal during Wednesday co-ed hockey. He's a hulking stay-at-home defenseman type who has been playing more and more forward in the last few months. He's got a decent shot, but has regularly complained about getting stoned by the goalie or missing the net. Wednesday was different.

He came in on the right side through the face-off circle, towards Colin who was hugging the post on the short side. Instead of shooting low far side, he held on to the puck and swerved slightly towards the slot. Colin started cheating away from the post while George held on to the puck even longer, only to wrist it high glove side in the small space just vacated by Colin. The puck hit nothing but net and bounced out, leading some players to say that there had been no goal, but this was most certainly a goal, and a brilliant one at that. He roofed it.
