Atmosphere at the "Bob" ///Le beat à l'aréna Guertin

I was lucky enough to go back to the Bob Guertin Arena in Hull (now a.k.a Gatineau) for a junior hockey game this week. I was again struck by the amazing atmosphere inside this old barn. 3,500 seats, all of which seem to overhang the ice, create an electric atmosphere which pumps up the Gatineau Olympiques and drives them to overachieve year after year. But the real reason why it's so electric? It's filled with regular folks, not corporate suits. The people care enough about hockey here to spill their guts on the ice, and thankfully, the "Bob" is one place where they can still afford to see a great game live.
